Webquest
The webquest activity was actually something I could apply to my website as a professional. The webquest shows how an interpreter is used and our job requirements. With this webquest I can give this information to a client or a teacher or instructor to understand the job of an interpreter, what to expect from me as a professional and the best way to work with me as an interpreter. I feel like this activity was great because in any other instance I would not have thought to look up a webquest for this type of information.
IBA
The Inquiry Based Activity was interesting in it's own right. I really do not feel like I would use this activity in my professional life. If I were to teach someone about deaf history in a non traditional, classroom, teacher way, I could use this activity to show how deafness does not mean 100% disability. I think it's great teachers already begin creating these activities for their students for later on. This way they can get peer reviews and an ultimate review of the validity of the activity. But, like I said before, I do not feel I will use this activity in my professional career.

Website Evaluations
Before this assignment, I based my assessment of websites solely on ease of access and validity. I did not consider when the website was copyrighted, the contact section or specifically what kind of website they may be. Unless I needed the website as a reference for a paper, I was not concerned whether it was a reference site or a primary source. Through this assignment I am able to objectively assess a website and decide whether the content is valid and still relevant. A great way to decide whether or not a website is still reliable is whether or not the links are still accessible. I had not previously thought of that as a way to evaluate a website. Through this assessment I can decide whether or not certain sites are appropriate to post in my website as a reference.

Wikis
My prior experience with wikis was severly limited before this class. In a previous English class we used one wiki for a project but it was all through blackboard so I didn't think it was something you could just create without experience. However, this class has shown that to be untrue. Learning the different ways to use a wiki and how simple they are to create and edit, wiki's can prove to be extremely beneficial in all facets of my life. First, in my career; with the use of wiki's I can communicate with clients easily and we can plan the appointment and possibly get a prepared speech and I can gloss the speech and make sure we're on the same page. Second, I can use them in my personal life. Using wiki's to plan a party, trip or anything! Wiki's have proven to be useful and extremely easy to use!
